From the first knock to driving on your new floor — here's how a one-day install actually goes.
A professional garage floor coating sounds like a big project, but for most homes it's a single day of work. Knowing the steps helps you see where quality is won or lost — and how to get your space ready.
We measure the space, check the concrete's age and condition, and look for cracks, pitting, or past coatings. You get a written, all-in quote before any work is scheduled — no surprises.
Before we arrive, move vehicles and belongings out of the garage. That's really all we need from you. If you can't clear it fully, let us know — we can often work in halves.
This is the step that makes the floor last. We run industrial diamond grinders over the entire slab to open the concrete's pores so the coating can lock in mechanically. It's dustless (we use vacuum-shrouded equipment) and it's the difference between a 15-year floor and a peeler.
We fill cracks, chips, and control joints with patching compounds, then grind them flush so the finished surface is smooth and seamless.
We roll on the pigmented base coat and broadcast your chosen flake or metallic finish into it for grip and color. Excess flake is scraped back the next pass for an even texture.
Finally we seal everything with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. This is what gives the floor its durability, chemical resistance, and fast cure.
You can usually walk on the floor the same evening and park on it within 24 hours. After that, it's ready for normal use — see how to care for it.
